From the moment I arrived, Samoa welcomed me with warmth, calmness, and genuine hospitality. I connected with more than 40 local tourism suppliers, hoteliers, and operators - each proudly sharing their culture, stories, and passion for their island home.
This gave me the opportunity to experience Samoa beyond the resorts. From ferry rides between the islands, traditional ava ceremonies, village visits, and learning about Fa’a Samoa, to swimming with turtles and in the beautiful Piula Cave Pool, enjoying fresh coconut water straight from the tree, watching Samoan fire dancing, and sharing meals cooked in a traditional umu - every experience felt authentic and deeply special.
I was lucky enough to visit some incredible properties including Coconuts Beach Resort, Lava Hotel, Amoa Resort and Taumeasina Island Resort, each offering something unique for travellers wanting to experience the true beauty of Samoa.
But what stayed with me most was the people. The kindness, spirituality, joy, and deep sense of com
munity throughout Samoa left such a lasting impression on me. This trip truly was about understanding the heart of the destination so I can help others experience that same feeling when they visit.
Samoa really is a place that stays with you long after you leave.
